Thirst’s Sweet Thai Dipping Sauce
We love this sauce, which is why we decided to bottle it.
Most people who taste our sauce, love it with our fish cakes, corn fritters, spring rolls, etc. etc.
But this sauce is brilliant, it is versatile and using it at home, you can become very creative with it!
It tastes sooo good with gyoza dumplings, samosa, san choy bau, barbecue pork dumplings.
Actually all Oriental dumplings are delish with our sweet Thai dipping sauce.
The fun and exciting part is, to add your own condiments to make the sauce a little different and tastier every time you use it.
You will become addicted!
Here are a few suggestions that we have tried at home ourselves.
The tasty combinations are endless, and we are certain that you will come up with a few favourites of your own.
Which we would love to hear about so we can try them too!
At the restaurant we add thinly sliced chilli, coriander leaves, peanuts, sometimes shallots or sliced kaffir lime leaves.
Here are some creative flavours we tried with a yum cha selection:
1 tsp crisp bacon pieces and thinly sliced iceberg lettuce
1 tsp black sesame seeds and a pinch of Maldon sea salt
1 tsp roasted sesame seeds and 1 tsp thinly sliced pickled ginger
1 tsp roasted pine nuts and 1 sliced shitake mushroom ( we sauteed this lightly first)
½ tsp lime zest and ½ tsp dried chill flakes
1 tsp roasted roughly chopped cashews and thinly sliced capsicum
Add these combination flavours to 60 ml of Thirst’s Sweet Thai Dipping Sauce and enjoy!
